Edmonton Exchanger Group of Companies provides a wide range of products and services for the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries. We specialize in the fabrication of pressure vessel components, heat exchangers, custom steel products and pipe spools. In addition, we provide shutdown and full-scale maintenance services for refineries and petrochemical plants.
The Role:
We are searching for a Junior Data Reporting Analyst who will report directly to the IT Manager. As a Junior Data Reporting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the way we understand and utilize data. You will be supporting the Senior Applications Specialist, ensuring our reporting is precise, efficient, and insightful. With exposure to various technologies and the opportunity to support different departments, you will quickly become a valued asset to our team.
The Junior Data Reporting Analyst assists Edmonton Exchanger (EDEX) business leaders make decisions through accurate and timely information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SQL reports using SSRS, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, presented through advanced Excel reports.
- Engage with accounting data, applying your knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Excel reports, possibly using VBA to enhance functionalities.
- Manage data entry and organization, using scripts to streamline processes.
- Handle spontaneous data requests, extracting and analyzing information from enterprise systems like SAP B1 and Toolhound.
- Learn and apply reporting tools such as Crystal Reports for SAP, as needed.
- Oversee the configuration and management of inventory mobile devices.
- Support database optimization and maintenance under the guidance of experienced team members.

Who You Are:
- A graduate with a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Eager to learn and grow in the fields of data reporting and analysis.
- A problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for technology.
- Experienced in SQL and proficient with SQL Server Management Studio.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, VBA knowledge is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle occasional urgent data requests.
- A team player who is also comfortable working independently.
